Info on standards
Three international standards are currently being prepared for low-voltage applications. These address
- Arc fault detection systems
Standard IEC 60947-9-2 is at the CD (Committee Draft) stage which means that the working group has put forward a proposal to the national standards committees for their comments.
- Arc fault quenching devices
Standard IEC 60947-91-1 is at the CDV (Committee Draft for Vote) stage; the subsequent FDIS (Final Draft International Standard) will be prepared shortly.
This document has already been voted on and it is now a matter of integrating the final comments in the FDIS.
- Integration in low-voltage switchgear assemblies
A CD is expected shortly for IEC/TS 63107, too.
