Surge protection for power supply systems
In the Red/Line surge protection product segment, we offer solutions for protecting systems up to 1,000 V AC / 1,500 V DC against overvoltages from atmospheric discharges and switching operations.
Type 1 + Type 2 combined arrester
Our Type 1 + Type 2, spark-gap-based combined arresters – DEHNventil, DEHNvenCI, DEHNshield and DEHNcombo – provide lightning equipotential bonding and protection of terminal equipment in just one arrester stage.
Coordinated lightning current arrester – Type 1
Thanks to their high capacity, the Type 1, spark-gap-based, coordinated lightning current arresters are ideally suited for installation in the main distribution boards of low-voltage consumer installations.
Lightning current arrester – Type 1
Type 1 lightning current arresters ensure lightning equipotential bonding in electrical installations, while enabling a compact design for low-voltage main distribution boards.
Accessories for Type 1 arresters
Receiver module for optical transmission for selective operating state indication / centralised fault indication of three coordinated DEHNbloc Maxi S and, where appropriate, DEHNgap Maxi S lightning current arresters in five-wire systems.
N-PE lightning current arrester
Type 1, spark-gap-based DEHNgap N-PE lightning current arrester for use in TT or TN systems in a "3+1" or "1+1" configuration between neutral conductor (N) and protective conductor (PE).
Surge arrester – Type 2
The DEHNguard S / M ...CI / SCI Type 2 surge arresters are available in a wide range of designs and voltage ratings for AC and DC systems, as well as for photovoltaic applications.
Surge arrester – Type 3
Type 3 surge arresters are typically used to protect terminal equipment. A wide variety of enclosure designs ensure simple installation close to the terminal equipment.
Electrical Installation Solutions
The complete solutions of the DEHNcube range offer fully preassembled protection and functional modules for a wide variety of applications. They enable fast and standards-compliant installation.
Decoupling devices
Decoupling devices to safeguard against transient, temporary and long-duration overvoltages caused by external voltages from various sources of interference (e.g. high-voltage systems, railway power supply systems, low-voltage systems, lightning strikes).
General accessories
General accessories such as connection clamps, insulating enclosures and busbars simplify the installation and monitoring of DEHN surge protective devices in many applications.
Measuring and test devices
Multi-functional power quality measuring devices, monitoring devices for floating recording of the discharge processes of protective devices and testing the sparkover voltage of surge arresters.
Isolating Spark Gaps
Isolating spark gaps installed aboveground and underground are used for indirect earthing and connection of functionally isolated system parts in the event of lightning exposure.
Equipotential bonding bars
Equipotential bonding bars and earthing busbars for equipotential bonding of external conductive parts as per VDE 0100 and lightning equipotential bonding as per DIN EN 62305-3.
Components for foundation earth electrodes
Connecting components for reinforcement and fixed earthing points, as well as entries and bushings, are products designed to connect the earthing system to the down conductor or the equipotential bonding system.
Components for ring equipotential bonding
Pipe clamps and conductor holders for equipotential bonding of external conductive parts as per VDE 0100, Part 410/540 and lightning equipotential bonding as per DIN EN 62305-3.
SDS
The function of voltage-limiting devices in railway systems is to permanently connect parts of the installation in the overhead contact line and pantograph zone to the return circuit when the threshold voltage is exceeded.
Medium-voltage arrester
Medium-voltage arrester for protection of transformers, switchgear installations and transmission lines against surges. Can be installed directly on the mast, overhead line–cable transition point or transformer.
