Universal arrester for different voltage ranges

Pluggable, multipole, universal lightning current/surge arrester for IT systems. The arrester can be used for all voltages in the range from 0 to 180 V d.c. The arrester module with integrated LifeCheck function allows contactless and fast testing of arresters by means of the portable reader or stationary condition monitoring system. The arrester module and base part have to be ordered separately.

The software can be operated with a commercially available PC and a "USB-NANO 485" RS485/USB interface converter.

Space-saving surge arrester with BNC socket connector for mounting on supporting rails for protecting video and camera systems. Available with direct (VCD) or indirect shield connection (VCID), according to type, to avoid leakage pickups

Lightning current / Surge arrester Type 1

BLITZDUCTOR VT ALD 36 is a Type 1 combined lightning current and surge arrester. It is ideally suited for protecting terminal equipment with an immunity according to test level 1 in compliance with EN 61000-4-5. The arrester was tested in accordance with EN 61643-21 and energy-coordinated in accordance with IEC 61643-22 for protecting unearthed d.c. power supplies with nominal currents up to 4 A. The BVT arrester is designed for mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail in accordance with EN 60715. High-grade connections via screw clamps for a conductor cross-section of 0.5 to 4.0 mm² are used. The two-pole arrester features two earth terminals and has a width of 1.5 modules.

Portable test device DRC LC M3

Portable device with LifeCheck sensor for flexible use. Provides visual and acoustic ''OK'' indication for identified LifeCheck circuits in SPDs. With additional USB connection for PC-aided administration of test samples and documentation of the test results. DRC LC M3 can save the date of the last test on BXT and helps to program the same for DRC MCM XT Condition Monitoring System.

Surge arrester for use in hazardous areas

Pluggable multi-pole universal surge arrester for use in intrinsically safe systems. The SPD modules with integrated LifeCheck element allow for quick testing by means of the portable DRC LC reader or stationary DRC CMC condition monitoring device in non-explosive atmospheres. SPD module and base part have to be ordered separately.

• Arrangement of non-intrinsically safe and Ex i circuits directly next to each other (gaining of space)
  
• Increase of the thread measure to ≥50 mm in accordance with EN 60079-11

Certain installation conditions have to be adhered to when using BLITZDUCTOR XT Ex (i) arresters in intrinsically safe circuits.
In accordance with EN 60079-11:2007 (VDE 0170-7) a minimum distance (thread measure) of ≥50 mm has to be maintained
between intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe circuits!
When using the Ex i separation type TW DRC MCM EX, this distance is also maintained if the devices are arranged directly next to each other.
